Collect baseline oil samples from the engine, hydraulic, axle, and final drive systems at the 500-hour interval. Compare subsequent samples against this baseline to detect developing bearing or seal issues 500 to 800 hours before failure. Inspect the hydraulic return filter magnet for metallic debris at every 500-hour service. Use JCB High Performance Hydraulic Oil ISO VG46 for temperatures above 38 °C (100 °F) and JCB Hydraulic Fluid HP32 ISO VG32 for temperatures below 38 °C (100 °F). Monitor coolant silicate separation by checking for brown sludge in the expansion bottle.

Address hydraulic pump contamination risks by strictly adhering to the 500-hour hydraulic filter change interval. Replace the primary and secondary fuel filters to protect the DieselMax common-rail injectors from dirty fuel damage. Inspect turbocharger shaft play, boot condition, and wastegate function during the 1000-hour service. Check alternator and starter load tests to catch dying electrical components. Verify belt tension on the alternator, A/C, and fan belts to prevent system failures.

Perform structural inspections of the boom, arm, loader arm, chassis, and side frames for cracking or unauthorized welding at the 2000-hour interval. Measure swing ring play using radial and axial dial indicators on applicable models. Service brakes by checking disc wear and immersed brake condition. Check injector spray patterns via the diagnostic tool and replace as required. Drain and clean the hydraulic tank at 2000 hours to prevent component damage from accumulated contaminants.

Select hydraulic oil viscosity based on ambient temperature: ISO VG46 for temperatures above 38 °C (100 °F) and ISO VG32 for temperatures below 38 °C (100 °F). Flush the cooling system and replace coolant with JCB-spec long-life coolant at the 1000-hour interval to prevent corrosion. Inspect track tension and roller condition on applicable configurations. Check battery electrolyte levels in non-sealed units. Store the machine under cover to reduce corrosion and extend component life.
